Jim Palmer made Major League Baseball history by becoming the youngest pitcher to ever throw a shutout in a World Series contest. Palmer, who was just 20 years old at the time, picked up the win after his Baltimore Orioles bested the Los Angeles Dodgers by a score of 6-0. After his Club closed out the series with a sweep, the Orioles picked up their first World Series championship in franchise history.
