Making his fourth MLB All-Star Game appearance. Mike Piazza paved the way for the National League in the 6-0 victory over the American League in the 1996 contest. Piazza took Charles Nagy to deep-left field in his first at-bat to give the NL an early 2-0 lead. The future Hall of Fame catcher would finish the night having gone 2-for-3 with two RBI and would be crowned as the MLB All-Star Game MVP.
