Wrapping up his first full season in 2025 with an MLB-leading 1.97 ERA in 32 starts, the LSU product secured his first NL Cy Young Award. Skenes is the first Pittsburgh Pirates hurler since 1990 (Doug Drabek), and fifth-youngest ever (23 years, 122 days), to earn the top pitching honor.
