Story became the first player in Rockies history to hit three home runs in a game on June 18, 2018. He went 4-for-5 with a double, three homers, six RBI and three runs scored in Colorado's 16-12 victory over the Diamondbacks at Chase Field. Story's third home run of the game came off Arizona reliever Yoshihisa Hirano in the ninth inning, a two-run shot that broke a 12-12 tie and gave the Rockies the lead for good. The six RBI tied a Rockies single-game record, while the three home runs marked the first time in franchise history that a Colorado player had accomplished the feat.
