Yordan Alvarez and Aristides Aquino were named the AL and NL Rookies of the Month, respectively, after the pair of sluggers dominating their respective Leagues. Alvarez hit nine home runs and walked 21 times, posting an incredible .425 OBP. Aquino made his debut on the first of the month and caught fire shortly thereafter. In just his third game, Aquino hit the first of 14 home runs in August, setting multiple records along the way.
