Christian Yelich became the first player to hit at least 40 home runs and steal 25 bases in a season since Chipper Jones in 1999. Yelich stole his 25th base of the season in the eighth inning of a 5-2 game to get himself into scoring position. Yelich has put together a fantastic season with a robust .329 batting average, 41 home runs and 25 stolen bases.
