After collecting two whiffs in the opening frame, the 32-year-old struck out Nick Ahmed on a wicked 0-2 curveball to reach the historic mark. Kershaw is the third youngest pitcher to join the club and just the eleventh left-hander. He finished the night with eight strikeouts over six innings, improving his record to 5-1 with the 5-1 victory.
