With the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning, Lane Thomas launched a grand slam 410 feet to give the Cardinals the lead in their eventual 11-9 victory. The win concluded a three-game sweep over the Pirates. The grand slam was the first of Thomas' career.
