Team Netherlands was lifted by Xander Bogaerts and Jurickson Profar, who each homered in their World Baseball Classic matchup with Team Panama. Bogaerts opened the scoring after blasting a solo homer in the bottom of the third to give Netherlands an early lead. Profar followed suit in the fifth inning with a solo shot of his own, ultimately leading to a 3-1 win.
