It's been 17 years since Team Cuba has been to the semifinals of the World Baseball Classic. Now, that wait is over. In front of a crowd of 35,061 at the Tokyo Dome, Team Cuba knocked off Team Australia on Wednesday. After a slow start to the game, Team Cuba scored three runs in the fifth inning, highlighted by a Yoelkis Guibert two-run single. Despite a Rixon Wingrove's two-run homer in the sixth, the Aussies couldn't catch up. Team Cuba will advance to the semis for the first time since 2006, off of a nail-biting 4-3 win.
