In 2013, Darvish came within one out of throwing a perfect game. So when he found himself with no hits and two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning against the Boston Red Sox, Darvish must have been wary. Unfortunately for Darvish, David Ortiz snuck a single by the Texas infield. Regardless, Darvish's performance was top notch, as he struck out 12 batters and the Rangers took home the win, 8-0.
