AUGUST 4, 1985 — Tom Seaver finished his Major League Baseball career with an incredibly impressive 311 wins, but his 300th came with a Chicago White Sox 4-1 win over the New York Yankees. Amazingly, Seaver pitched a complete game for his Club for this milestone win, striking out seven Yankees batters and walking just one of them over the course of the contest.
