Last night, five New York Mets pitchers combined for the second no-hitter in Club history. Rookie right-hander Tylor Megill started with five strikeouts over five hitless innings. Then, the Mets called on Drew Smith, who struck out four of the five batters he challenged. Next came Joely Rodriguez, who helped turn a double play. After, Seth Lugo was on the mound and obtained two outs over just five pitches. Finally, Edwin Diaz pitched the ninth inning, striking out all three batters to secure the Mets their no hitter.
