In his New York Yankees meeting with the Tampa Bay Rays, Jeter went 5-for-5, collecting two RBI and stealing one base. Emphatically, Jeter's 3,000th hit was a solo home run, smashed in the third inning. Jeter's incredible performance helped his Yankees to edge out the Rays, 5-4.
