Josh Donaldson scored the two millionth run in the history of Major League Baseball in Saturday's game between the Minnesota Twins and Kansas City Royals. Donaldson scored from second base on a ground-rule double hit by Nelson Cruz. The first ever run scored in MLB dates back to the inaugural season of 1876 on April 22 in a matchup between the Boston Red Stockings, now the Braves, and the Philadelphia Athletics. Tim McGinley of the Red Stockings scored the first and only run of that contest.
