Akil Baddoo continues to add to his magical debut week by having another historic moment at the dish. In the bottom of the ninth inning, Akil stepped up for his fifth at-bat of the game, this time with the bases loaded. The lefty struck a pitch down and away, sending it over the left-field wall for an opposite-field grand slam. Akil is now the first Detroit Tigers player to go yard in both his first two games and to hit a grand slam inside his first two games. Baddoo also sits at the top of the MLB record book, becoming the first nine-hole hitter to homer in his first two career games.
