Edgar Renteria stepped up to the plate in the bottom of the 11th inning in Game 7 of the 1997 World Series with two outs and the bases loaded. The Barranquilla, Colombia, native was set to square off against Charles Nagy of the Cleveland Indians, with 67,204 roaring fans at Pro Player Stadium. Renteria delivered a base hit up the middle just over the outstretched glove of Nagy and cemented the walk-off, World Series victory for the Florida Marlins.
