Tim Raines found himself in uncharted waters after an incredible four-steal performance during the Montréal Expos 7-4 victory over the St Louis Cardinals. Thanks to his blazing speed on the basespaths, the Sanford, Florida, product became the first player in MLB history to steal at least 70 bases in four consecutive seasons. Raines would go on to extend this record to six straight seasons from the years 1981-1986.
