JULY 20, 2004 — Albert Pujols paced his Club with five RBI in the high-scoring, back-and-forth matchup between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs. The 6-foot-3 slugger went a perfect 5-for-5 at the plate, clubbing three towering longballs to ensure victory in the NL Central Division contest. Pujols' first deep fly came off of Glendon Rusch in the top of the third inning and he sent it over the center-field ivy for a solo jack. Albert struck again in innings seven and nine, as he launched one deep fly pulled to left field and the other to right.
