Don Mattingly earned the NL Manager of the Year award after helping the Miami Marlins to their first Postseason appearance since 2003. Mattingly managed a young Marlins team and led the squad to a 21-19 record in NL East Division matchups. The stellar effort led to a second place finish in the division and a 31-29 overall record.
