Christian Yelich of the Milwaukee Brewers is named the National League Player of the Month for August. Yelich led the NL with a .386 batting average, 1.179 OPS, 11 home runs and 31 RBI in 25 games. He also slugged .736 and walked 20 times against just 16 strikeouts. Yelich became the first Brewers player to win Player of the Month since Ryan Braun did so in May 2012.
