Max Scherzer of the Washington Nationals became the first pitcher in MLB history to record 200 strikeouts in a season while playing for three different teams. He accomplished the feat with the Nationals on September 14, 2019, reaching the milestone in a game against the Miami Marlins. Scherzer previously recorded 200 strikeouts with the Detroit Tigers in 2013 and the Washington Nationals in 2016 and 2018.
