Jean Segura became the first player in MLB history to hit a home run in his first three plate appearances of a season opener. The Arizona Diamondbacks shortstop went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs and a run scored in the 12-5 victory over the San Diego Padres at Chase Field. Segura's historic blast came off of Joey Lucchesi in the first inning, setting the tone for an explosive offensive performance by the Diamondbacks.
