Yadier Molina becomes the first catcher in Cardinals history to reach 2,000 career hits. The milestone came on a single to left field off of Chicago Cubs pitcher Alec Mills on August 14, 2020, at Wrigley Field. Molina, a 12-time All-Star and nine-time Gold Glove winner, joined an exclusive club with the accomplishment. He became just the 10th catcher in MLB history to reach the 2,000-hit plateau.
