One day after tying Angels legend Tim Salmon with his 299th career home run, Mike claimed sole possession of the franchise high mark with a third-inning home run in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader, the 300th homer of his career. Trout's 15th gollball of the season was a two-run shot off of Astros starter Brandon Bielak. The 29-year-old is the 11th youngest player in MLB history to have 300 home runs and the second Angels player to reach the mark this season (Justin Upton achieved the feat on July 29).
