The Kansas City Royals landed 26-year-old Andrew Benintendi as part of a three-team trade with the Boston Red Sox and New York Mets. The five-year veteran was a first round MLB Draft pick in 2015 and finished second in the AL Rookie of the Year voting in 2017 (20 HRs, 90 RBI). The Mets received prospect Khalil Lee from the Royals, while the Red Sox acquired veteran Franchy Cordero, pitcher Josh Winckowski and three player to be named later.
