Freddie Freeman and Jose Abreu became the first pair of Braves and White Sox teammates to win NL and AL MVP honors in the same season since 1998 when Greg Maddux and Sammy Sosa accomplished the feat. Freeman led the Braves to a 24-10 record in September/October to capture his first career MVP Award. The 2020 NL MVP Award Winner slashed .341/.462/.640 with 11 doubles, 13 home runs and 37 RBI over 50 games during the shortened season. Abreu was a Silver Slugger runner-up after posting a .317/.370/.617 slash line with 19 home runs and 60 RBI in 55 games.
