Avisail Garcia added to the Tampa Bay Rays early lead with a two-run home run in the top of the second inning. The mammoth blast was the team's second of the game and extended its lead, 3-0. Tommy Pham then capped the Rays high-powered evening with a solo shot in the eighth inning to push the team out to a 5-1 lead, which would eventually be the final score.
