Stephen Strasburg entered the 2019 National League Wild Card Game in relief of Max Scherzer for his first career relief appearance after 242 starts. Strasburg tossed three shutout innings to set the table for Juan Soto’s game-winning hit. Strasburg earned the win and Washington’s earned their first win in an elimination Postseason game, 4-3, over the Brewers.
