Dallas Keuchel retired the side in order over three innings of relief to notch his 1,000th career strikeout. The Astros lefty entered the game in the 7th inning with Houston clinging to a 4-3 lead. Keuchel fanned three straight batters in the 7th and then worked around a leadoff single in the 8th before closing out the 9th. It was a masterful performance from the veteran southpaw, who now stands at 1,000 strikeouts for his career.
