Jose Altuve put the Houston Astros on the board in the first inning with a solo shot off of Luis Severino. Josh Reddick extended the team's lead in the second inning with a home run of his own to put the Astros ahead, 2-0. The early strikes would be the only runs Gerrit Cole and the Astros bullpen needed to mow down the Yankees and win the game, 4-1.
