Anibal Sanchez became the first Tigers pitcher to throw a no-hitter since Justin Verlander in 2011, blanking the Royals on 121 pitches over nine innings on June 21 at Kauffman Stadium. The right-hander walked four and struck out six, with his final victim, Salvador Perez, popping out to second baseman Ian Kinsler to complete the historic gem. Sanchez's no-no was the first of the 2015 season and just the second in Tigers history, joining Verlander's 2011 gem.
