Taylor Ward

The Angels called up prospect Taylor Ward and he did not disappoint in his MLB debut, going 2-for-3 with an RBI in the Angels 7-3 win over the Padres at Petco Park. Ward put the Angels on the board early with an RBI double in his first at-bat in the second inning, walked in the fourth and singled in the sixth. The third baseman originally was drafted as a catcher by the Angels as a first-round pick in 2015.
